Days 34 - 35 (May 25 - 26): Miles 452 - 478 & another zero!

On Friday I left the Saufley's around 5am and did the 25 miles into Green Valley where the Anderson's also welcome hikers in there home and feed them taco salads at night and pancakes in the morning. They have a huge back garden with a small forest that is like a maze where they allow you to camp. Very cool place.

When I got to the road I had to hitch in about 2 miles to the Anderson's place. I started walking down the road and all of a sudden Rian stopped beside me in an old Subaru. He had gotten in earlier and a guy at the Anderson's, who was hiking south to meet some friends, asked Rian to drive him to the trail in the guy's car. On the way back he picked me and a guy called Portrait up. What luck! And who else but Brian and Ngu happened to be another mile down the road so they jumped in the car as well.

It's now Saturday and I'll probably stay here for today and most of tomorrow and head out late Sunday afternoon. There is a great cafe nearby which we have already visited two times and will probably visit again tomorrow. The Anderson's had a big barbeque and lots more hikers came in today. Many hikers that have been here a while pitch in to help. Hikers that came in the previous day were making burgers for the new hikers as they came in. The Anderson's are amazing, they feed dozens of hikers every day and drive them to and from the trail.

Ankle is better but was still a bit sore after 25 miles yesterday. With some more rest today and if I manage it right I'm hoping it will improve and only get stronger.
